Remote monitoring of fields and crops offers complete control over your agricultural areas, crop conditions, and fruit growth, utilizing an advanced optical camera system supported by artificial intelligence software. Pessl Instruments GmbH has developed a high-resolution optical camera system, paired with computer vision software capable of recognizing objects in photographs (initially designed for apple recognition). This system enables remote monitoring of field conditions, crops, or fruit, with all collected data and photos available online via the FieldClimate web portal. Advantages of Remote Monitoring: • Saves time and optimizes resource usage. • Allows for more production with fewer resources. Technical Features: CropVIEW® is a camera system with integrated electronics (camera, modem, solar-powered source). The device is self-sufficient thanks to the solar panel and battery. The 10 MP camera sends high-resolution images via mobile network to the FieldClimate.com platform, where automatic fruit detection is performed (currently only for apples). Results are available on the web or mobile devices, including photos with recognized fruits and their diameter measurements.
